Our client is a well-established UK organisation operating within a technical and operational environment, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. With a commitment to high standards and best practice, the business is now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead its Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) strategy.
This is a pivotal role where you will act as the organisation's appointed Health & Safety professional, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and industry standards while driving a positive, proactive safety culture across the business. The role is both office and field based and will involve travel for site visits, audits, and training delivery.
What's involved for the Health & Safety Manager
1. Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Health & Safety Management System in line with legal, regulatory, and best-practice requirements.
2. Lead inspection, audit, and assurance programmes to monitor and enhance HSE performance.
3. Measure, analyse, and report on HSE performance, benchmarking against industry standards.
4. Review, develop, and maintain safe systems of work, ensuring policies and procedures remain practical and risk-focused.
