Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Reports to: EMEA Engineering Lead
Droitwich Spa
Contract: Full time onsite
Imagine working at the forefront of innovation in fluid-flow technology, with over 1400 colleagues across the globe, and contributing to a legacy of excellence that spans eight manufacturing facilities on four continents. we are a community of the brightest and most creative minds, driven by a shared mission to engineer the future and safeguard our planet.
You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.
The Mechanical Engineer will manage engineering design drawing revision control and work closely with customers to update drawings, review P&ID, block diagrams, and schematics, ensuring all technical files are accurately uploaded to the database. The role includes overseeing the engineering change control process and maintaining up-to-date documentation of all process modifications, changes, and improvements within the BOM structure and routing system to ensure full traceability. The engineer will also develop and implement structured methodologies for New Product Introduction (NPI) to support a seamless transition from design to full-scale production and actively participate in DFMA workshops to support value engineering (VA/VE) and the standardization of products.
Design Deliverables:
Production of schematics and valve schedules for build.
Check and submit client submittals and manufacturing drawings, ensuring BOM accuracy.
Prepare accurate specifications, reports, and other project documentation, ensuring alignment with budget, timeframe, and quality objectives.
Manage engineering design drawing revision control, ensuring all updates are accurately maintained.
Develop and implement structured methodologies for New Product Introduction (NPI) to support smooth transitions from design to full-scale production.
Liaise directly with customers and internal stakeholders to update drawings, block diagrams, and schematics, and upload technical files to the database.
Work closely with structural engineering organisations to receive pipe stress analyses and ensure any resulting design changes are captured mathematically and reflected accurately in project documentation.
