CEO of local daycentre for adults with learning disabilities.The organisation is a registered charity with the Charity Commission.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of learning disability.They will have a vision of how to help the charity reach its potential and continue the legacy of excellent provision that is already established.The successful candidate will need to be self motivated,dynamic and enjoy leading and inspiring a small team of staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities include:
Oversight of the day centre and the people we support and their families carers.
Support of Day Care Manager, and support workers. All aspects of HR recruitment, training and any day to day HR management supported by a professional HR agency.
Lead on promotion of the charity and liaison with other organisations including accountant,HMRC,local authority and social work practitioners.
Securing funding agreements through writing bids and building partnership work
Maintaining adequate records and provide full reports and statistics for annual reporting,funding bodies and trustee meetings.
Monthly account preparation and invoicing authorities,families ,carers .Also paying bills,reordering stock. Collecting monthly figures of hours worked and liaising with accountant to ensure staff payroll is paid on time.
Planning with daycare manager trips out,theatre trips,shows.Presents etc for the people we support. Helping to develop new ways, new ideas for promoting Busydays and the people we support in local community projects.
Developing and supporting family/carer groups.Signposting .
Keep up to date with relevant legislation reviewing /updating policies and drafting new when necessary.
Managing a complaints process approved by the trustees
Overseeing staff wefare and employment law. Managing all staff cases with human resources experts. Overseeing staff training and undertaking job related training.
Overseeing case records for the purpose of care plans, peeps, risk assessments alongside day care manager.
Able to prioritise,recognise key issues and recommend or take action.
Ability to work on own initiative, not always buildings based but checking regularly with day centre manager.
Undertaking any reasonable requests consistent with the purpose of the post as directed by the board of trustees.
