Senior Advisor – Wastewater Flow Strategy and Compliance - 31078
We are part of a national team within the Environment and Business (E&B) directorate, focused on planning and implementing initiatives for the Water Industry to protect and improve environmental water quality. This role supports our Waste Water Flow Strategy and Flow Improvement Plan delivery.
Due to increasing data management needs related to water and sewerage company flows, we seek a Technical Leader with sector expertise to collaborate with our Senior Advisors. The goal is to develop tools, policies, and guidance to assist operational compliance and enforcement.
We also value candidates with project and programme management experience who can lead a team of advisors to achieve key outcomes.

Our team works closely across Water Industry Compliance, Incidents, and Enforcement, using evidence, engagement, and innovation to support regulatory delivery and policy influence. We collaborate with operational units and other departments to ensure effective compliance and enforcement support.
Experience and Skills Required
We seek a talented, dynamic technical leader to support program development, initiatives, training, and projects aimed at improving regulation of the water sector. You will need:
* Effective collaboration skills with diverse backgrounds and cultures, promoting diversity considerations.
* Experience with Flow to Full Treatment Methodologies.
* Knowledge of Water Industry site processes and assets.
* Ability to manage complex data sets.
* Experience responding to technical inquiries and information requests.
* Proven project or programme leadership from concept to implementation.
* A high level of technical understanding of water industry flow processes is preferred.
Additional Information
This is a flexible/hybrid role with a base location at an EA Office. Some travel may be required. Training and development support, including inclusive incident management objectives, will be provided.
