Role Description
As a Finance Business Partner, you work closely with the relevant business area to provide guidance, analysis and insight on financial matters, providing both recommendations and challenge. Through building relationships and influencing stakeholders, you will provide financial support to facilitate the achievement of the business goals.
This is a hybrid role based in Guildford / Bournemouth.
Salary Information
Circa £60,000.
About You
As a Finance Business Partner you will be accountable for:
* Providing financial management expertise, analysis and insight to inform and contribute to decision‑making within the business channel/segment/function.
* Appraisal and support of new opportunities and projects to ensure that all relevant financial considerations are made and appropriate controls are in place.
* Ownership of month‑end expense process for relevant area including articulation of how costs allocate to specific P&Ls and explaining the impact of any changes.
* Leading the expense budgeting and planning process for relevant business areas.
* Producing accurate and timely financial management information for use within the business area to inform decision‑making.
* Ensuring all reporting and accounting is carried out to the required standards and quality, and to the agreed timescales.
* Influencing business decision‑making through engagement with key stakeholders.
Essential Skills
* Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
* Ability to apply management accounting and financial management techniques to inform business decision‑making.
* Strong intellect and the ability to see both the detail and the "big picture" across the business and data.
* Strong analysis skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to collaborate credibly across all levels in the organisation (including senior management).
* Ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines.
Desirable Skills
* Post‑qualification experience of working in finance within the insurance industry is desirable but not essential.
* Up‑to‑date insurance accounting and reporting knowledge is desirable but not essential.
* Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage with experience using Generative AI tools such as on‑site Webchat / Chat Bot systems.
