General Manager - Wiltshire - £70,000-£75,000+ Car Allowance + Company Shares
A well established engineering business specialising in high quality sheet metal forming and fabrication solutions is seeking a dynamic and commercially focused General Manager to lead their business transformation journey.

Role Summary:
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the business. This is a hands on leadership role that combines strategic direction with operational oversight. The successful candidate will drive business development, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with group objectives, while fostering a positive and productive culture across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership across all business functions.
* Manage daily operations and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget.
* Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
* Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
* Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff.
* Oversee business planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.
* Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years experience in a senior operational leadership role in engineering or manufacturing e.g. General Manager, Operations Director, Operations Manager, Engineering Director, Plant Manager, Managing Director or similar.
* Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).
* Strong commercial acumen and operational management expertise.
* Proven ability to manage P and L, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Track record of driving business growth and operational improvements.
