Our Building Services division provides complete Facilities Management of properties throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.
We are looking for Project Director to join the team on our Kent County Council project based in West Malling, Kent.
The purpose of the role will be responsible for leadership, managing customer/client relationships and driving strategy to deliver projects to customer expectations while complying with Skanska governance.
What you'll do:
1. Strategically drive best-in-class operational performance within Local Authority projects.
2. Resource projects appropriately to build capability and performance across teams.
3. Promote and demonstrate visible leadership in adherence to the company Health & Safety policy and procedures.
4. Provide accurate and consistent reports and management information to senior management and clients.
5. Take full responsibility for project budget, costs, cash flow and margin in accordance with the forecast process.
6. Manage contractual issues arising with customers and the supply chain.
7. Support work-winning and operational solutions for new business opportunities.
What you’ll bring to the role:
8. Proven track record of project delivery in hard facilities management within local authorities and government markets.
9. Experience of running complex capital and life-cycle works.
10. Ability to develop successful teams and support succession planning.
11. Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience.
12. Relevant industry Health & Safety management qualifications.
13. High level of commercial awareness and experience managing contractual issues with customers and supply chain.
14. Effective and timely communicator with strong people leadership skills.
