At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), we are seeking an exceptional senior nurse to be part of the leadership team at our Trafford Elective Hub —a pioneering initiative that will shape the future of elective services across Greater Manchester. Alongside this be the senior nurse based on the Trafford site and take responsibility for this reporting professionally into the Director of nursing and working closely with the TESH director and clinical director.
About the Role
As head of nursing, you will form a key part of the hub's triumvirate leadership team alongside clinical and operational leads. Reporting to the clinical lead, and a professional line into the Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham (WTWA) director of nursing you will provide nursing leadership and to the hub and Trafford site. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the transformation of elective care pathways, drive cultural change, and deliver a service that is innovative, efficient, and truly patient-centred.
About You
You will bring significant senior nursing experience within a complex healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside the TESH director and clinical head to provide strong leadership across TESH and Trafford hospital
Highly visible leader of the nursing/AHP workforce
Support the director of nursing/deputy director of nursing by providing professional leadership to the nursing and AHP workforce
Take a lead role for TESH and work closely with the WTWA divisional teams on nursing professional issues, and quality, patient experience and safety
