A Breakfast Chef
* Shows a positive attitude and good work ethic, including the ability to follow instructions from a recipe or senior team members.
* Assists in ingredient preparation, such as cutting, chopping, and measuring, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking according to recipes and instructions.
* Helps set up cooking stations before service, ensuring all equipment, tools, and ingredients are available and ready. Keeps workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
* Executes basic cooking techniques like grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking under the guidance of senior chefs.
* Follows recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and presentation standards.
* Adheres to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
* Understands allergen importance, ensuring food safety for customers with allergies.
* Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment, following health and safety regulations.
* Works closely with the kitchen team, communicates effectively, and assists colleagues as needed.
* Contributes ideas for menu items, presentations, and improvements, providing feedback on new recipes or techniques.
* Monitors dish quality and taste, adjusting seasoning or cooking times, and reports issues to senior chefs.
* Continuously improves culinary skills by staying updated on industry trends and techniques.
* Confidently presents food to guests and explains dishes professionally.

* Ensures long hair is tied back, acts professionally, and follows kitchen rules and schedules.
* Displays a positive attitude daily and remains flexible to rota changes.
* Clocks in and out daily and reports issues to senior staff.
Qualifications
* Culinary qualification or experience in a professional kitchen; food hygiene qualification is essential.
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
* Strong culinary skills, especially in pastry, with knowledge of various techniques and equipment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality dishes.
* Understanding of food safety standards and ability to follow them.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
* Physical stamina and dexterity for long standing and repetitive tasks.
* Ability to act as a First Aid Aider or Fire Warden if needed.
