Finance Consultant
Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP50,000 per annum (DOE)
Location: Home/Field Based, servicing clients across Kent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (37 hours per week)
KHR is currently working with a specialist financial service provider, which is experiencing continued growth. They are looking to hire several Finance Consultants with varying levels of experience to cover their client base across Kent.
As a Finance Consultant, you will work with schools and multi-academy trusts in your designated area, providing cover, advising on best practices, delivering training, and completing project-related tasks.
This is a field-based role covering areas including Maidstone, Dartford, and Mid-Kent. Your home will serve as a base, but you will need to visit the Kent-based office monthly and attend training and meetings.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Deliver training to school finance staff
* Provide interim cover for senior finance roles (Finance Controller / CFO level)
* Produce management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
* Support clients through year-end processes and audits
* Advise on best practices in line with the Academies Financial Handbook
* Lead client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
* Participate in internal projects, client scheduling, CPD, sector engagement, and promote the business through networking and social platforms
Candidate Profile
* ACA or ACCA Qualified preferred (or working towards)
* Solid financial knowledge and skills
* Experience working within the education sector
* Comfortable working independently and managing your diary
* Confident communicator capable of building relationships and delivering training
* Passionate about providing high-quality support and helping clients improve
* Experience with budgeting, reporting, and statutory compliance
* Proactive and collaborative mindset
* Hold a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
