We are seeking a football coach/referee who holds a FA Level 2 Football qualification to coach/referee football matches at the school (and possibly at away matches too). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a desire to educate and develop players at all levels. This role involves not only coaching/refereeing but also instilling values such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The successful applicant will work closely with players to enhance their skills and foster a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective training programmes tailored to the needs of the team and individual players.
* Educate players on the rules, strategies, and techniques of football.
* Conduct regular practice sessions, ensuring that drills are engaging and beneficial for skill development.
* Monitor player performance during practices and matches and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and personal growth.
* Collaborate with the school's sports teachers to plan game strategies and player rotations.
Requirements
* Proven experience in sports coaching and refereeing, preferably in football.
* Strong understanding of football techniques, tactics, and rules.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate players effectively.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best performance.
* Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules and match days.
* A commitment to promoting teamwork, discipline, and respect within the team environment.
* Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are mandatory.
