Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering excellent service? North Devon Homes is looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to join our dynamic team.
The Role:
North Devon Homes is seeking three proactive and organised Maintenance Team Leaders to join our team. In this vital role, you’ll support the Investment/Response & Void Manager in delivering high standards of maintenance services.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage maintenance activities, ensuring efficient and effective delivery within time and cost targets.
* Provide onsite leadership to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees, contractors, and customers.
* Conduct site inspections and surveys, maintaining high safety and quality standards.
* Drive continuous improvement in maintenance services and support change management.
* Manage internal and external contractors, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
* Mentor and develop team members, supporting their growth and organisational resilience.
* Oversee procurement and stock control, ensuring value for money.
* Liaise with colleagues, contractors, and customers to deliver a customer-centric service.
What we are looking for?
* BTEC Level 3 /ONC Building or equivalent trade qualification, or relevant experience (willingness to study if required).
* Management training (desirable)
* Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).
* Health and safety qualification (IOSHH or NEBOSHH).
* Proven experience managing and motivating staff in a customer-focused environment.
* Strong technical knowledge of responsive repairs, procurement, and contract management.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
* Good IT skills and ability to adapt to bespoke systems.
* Full clean driving licence and ability to work at height or in confined spaces.
