Medivet Bamber Bridge is looking for a passionate and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, experienced and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role, values a strong team ethos, and wants to be part of shaping a practice as it grows and evolves.
Also known locally as Withy Grove Vets, our award-winning practice is well established within the community and located in a busy suburban spot with excellent access to Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District. It’s the ideal base for someone who wants a rewarding clinical role alongside great lifestyle options.
You’ll be joining a six-vet team, including a three-times certificate holder in surgery, supported by a fantastic nursing and support team and a dedicated Practice Manager. We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of care and building long-lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
Our clinic is fully equipped with digital X-ray, in-house lab, quality ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental suite and dental X-ray, TTA and patella luxation kit, capnography and ventilators, with separate dog and cat wards and a rabbit-friendly setup. There are also regular opportunities to assist with more advanced procedures, including orthopaedics and laparoscopic surgery.
We work closely with the nearby Medivet 24-hour hospital and other local branches, meaning you’ll always have support and opportunities to grow your clinical knowledge and skills within a strong regional network.
We’re ideally looking for someone with at least 1-2 years’ UK experience, though we’re open to applicants at different stages of their nursing career who are confident, eager to learn and motivated to contribute. Clinical coaching experience would be a bonus but is by no means essential - just a willingness to support and collaborate within a positive team environment.
This is a brilliant time to join the team as we continue to invest in both the people and the facilities. While the practice has a traditional feel, there’s a real opportunity for someone who wants to make a mark, help move things forward and be part of the journey as we build for the future.
We’re passionate about work-life balance and open to discussing flexible working to suit your lifestyle although ideally, this role would involve a full-time working pattern of 40 hours per week (5x8 hours Monday to Friday). We want you to feel supported, empowered and valued in your role - whether you're looking to grow your clinical skills, mentor others or contribute to shaping a strong team culture.
If this sounds like the next step you’ve been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you.
