Role Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a full‑time, on‑site role based at a major manufacturing facility in Cardiff. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a heavy‑industry environment and takes pride in delivering safe, compliant, and high‑quality electrical maintenance work.
As the dedicated EIS engineer on site, you'll be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, reducing downtime, and supporting ongoing improvements across the facility. You'll work closely with the site's operations and engineering teams, backed by the full support and technical expertise of the wider EIS team.
This is a days‑only position, with overtime available at times depending on site needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment
* Respond to electrical breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore equipment safely and efficiently
* Support electrical upgrades, reliability improvements, and engineering projects
* Conduct inspections, testing, and compliance‑driven electrical maintenance
* Work collaboratively with on‑site teams to prioritise and plan electrical tasks
* Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and maintenance records
* Represent EIS professionally on site, upholding our safety, quality, and communication standards
* Work safely at height when required (MEWPs, platforms, access equipment)

What We're Looking For
* Strong background in electrical maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments
* Experience with electrical fault‑finding, testing, and compliance
* Confident working with control panels, motors, drives, and industrial electrical systems
* Experience with Siemens PLCs (S7 / TIA Portal), inverters, or industrial automation is highly beneficial
* Safety‑focused, reliable, and committed to delivering high‑quality electrical work
* Comfortable working at height as part of routine maintenance tasks
