Director of Epidemiology – Healthcare: Make Your Mark at Ipsos!
We are a leading global market and social research company, enabling organisations to make smarter, bolder, and faster decisions.
Are you a seasoned epidemiology expert passionate about shaping the future of healthcare? Do you excel at generating robust disease estimates that drive strategic decisions? Are you eager to lead innovative projects and contribute to a growing, reputable team? If so, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
As Director of Epidemiology at Ipsos, you will be at the forefront of our disease market understanding. You'll leverage your deep expertise to develop scientifically rigorous estimates of disease incidence, prevalence, and population size, directly influencing strategic decisions across various disease areas. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects of significant size and complexity, driving innovation in epidemiological methodologies and contributing to the development of effective treatments. You will oversee comprehensive literature reviews, direct the generation of accurate disease estimates, lead the development of innovative epidemiological models, and guide the analysis of data from various sources, including Primary Market Research (PMR). You'll also present findings to stakeholders, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to thought leadership. This role is within a dynamic organisation that offers a hybrid working environment.
About You:
These are the areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role.
* Extensive experience in healthcare, public health, or related fields, interpreting primary and secondary market research.
* Experience in epidemiological modelling, including patient-based models, simulation, and data visualisation.
* Advanced degree (MPH, MS in Biostatistics, or PhD) with a focus in epidemiology or a related discipline.
* Proficiency in statistical packages (SAS, STATA, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel modelling skills.
* Strong understanding of AI tools and technologies and how they can be applied to market research and consumer insights.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you as an individual. Our standard benefits include 25 days annual leave, pension contribution, income protection and life assurance. In addition, there are a range of health & wellbeing, financial benefits and professional development opportunities. For roles at Research Manager level and above we also offer private healthcare.
We realise you may have commitments outside of work and will consider flexible working applications - please highlight what you are looking for when you make your application. We have a hybrid approach to work and ask people to be in the office or with clients for 3 days per week.
We are committed to equality, treating people fairly, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment and ensuring we have diversity of people and views. We recognise that this is important for our business success - a more diverse workforce will enable us to better reflect and understand the world we research and ultimately deliver better research and insight to our clients.
Your application will be reviewed by someone from our Talent Team who will be in touch either way to let you know the outcome.
