The role involves leading a team, managing workflows, and ensuring efficient waste collection, transport, and compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and lead a team of drivers and operatives during the night shift
2. Manage workflows to ensure timely and efficient waste collection and transport
3. Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and operational standards
4. Oversee equipment checks, maintenance, and general site standards
5. Resolve on-site issues promptly, making decisions under pressure
6. Report operational performance and escalate issues as required
7. Support team development through guidance and training
8. Collaborate with other teams to improve processes and operational efficiency
Candidate Requirements
9. Experience in waste management, logistics, or transport operations
10. Strong leadership and team management skills
11. Good understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
12. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
13. Physically able to work in an active, fast-paced environment
