Anopportunity has arisen for a Sister/Charge Nurse Band 6 to work at PontefractDialysis Unit. The jobholder will play an essential role assisting SeniorSister/Charge Nurse in teaching the nursing teams throughout the 24 hourperiod. As an experienced nurse the jobholder will co-ordinate activities onthe ward/department ensuring effective communication is maintained at alltimes, providing support to qualified and unqualified nurses within theward/dept. He/she will play a key role in the assessment of patient careneeds and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes ofcare. The jobholder will act as a role model, promoting qualityevidence-based practice, developing the nursing team and ensuring effectivemanagement of the ward/department in the absence of the Senior Sister/ChargeNurse.
