We’re looking for a Trainee MS Dynamics Business Central Consultant to join our growing Professional Services team. You’ll begin with a four-month immersive training programme combining structured learning, mentoring, and live project shadowing to help you understand how Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central transforms businesses. Once application training is completed, you’ll continue to learn and grow through a full year of on-demand training content, mentoring, and hands-on delivery, contributing to key project areas such as configuration, report design, testing, and user training. This role is ideal for someone passionate about business systems, finance, or technology who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly, and working with people. You’ll gain recognised Microsoft certification, build genuine implementation experience, and develop toward a full Consultant role. Responsibilities: Project Delivery Support Work under the guidance of a Lead Consultant or Project Manager to deliver assigned workstreams within Dynamics 365 Business Central projects. Contribute to specific deliverables such as configuration, testing, UAT preparation, and training delivery. Provide progress updates, highlight risks or blockers, and collaborate with senior team members to ensure smooth delivery. Configuration and Build Configure Business Central modules (Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Inventory, etc.) in line with predefined specifications and customer requirements. Support small system customisations and setups to ensure they meet process needs. Validate configuration and data to maintain accuracy and quality. Data Migration and Integrity Assist with preparing, cleansing, and validating customer data before migration. Support Consultants in data import testing, reconciliation, and post-migration verification. Help ensure customers’ data is accurate, complete, and compliant within the new system. Report Design and Documentation Create or modify Business Central reports and layouts using standard tools such as Word Layouts, Jet Reports, or Power BI. Maintain detailed documentation for configuration, testing, and custom setups. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and aligned with HBP’s project methodology. Training and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Assist in developing UAT scripts and coordinate sessions with customers. Co-deliver end-user training sessions and produce easy-to-follow training guides. Provide clear, supportive explanations to help users feel confident and capable in the new system. Customer Communication Communicate professionally and proactively with customers, ensuring clarity at all stages of project delivery. Contribute to an ‘Effortless Experience’ by simplifying complex information and reducing friction in the customer journey. Work collaboratively to ensure customers always feel informed, supported, and confident in the project process. Continuous Learning and Development Follow an agreed personal development plan, including completion of the Dynamics Business Central Booster course and MB-800 certification. Shadow senior Consultants to learn best practices in consulting, documentation, and client management. Knowledge & Experience To be a successful, you will possess the following: Essential Right to work in the UK. 5 days a week in office / on site Full UK Driving License & Business Insurance Strong interest in business systems, finance, or ERP software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Competent in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.). AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent working experience. Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work collaboratively. Desirable Awareness of business processes Familiarity with Dynamics 365, Power BI, or other ERP solutions.
