Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Nottingham. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on helping children overcome barriers to learning and is committed to supporting their emotional and behavioural development.
Role Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs.
* Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
* Assist in delivering learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
* Help create a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
* Support the development of social and life skills both in and out of the classroom.
* Monitor and report pupil progress and behaviour to appropriate staff.
Job Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) or behavioural challenges.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A calm, patient, and understanding approach.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour confidently and professionally.
* Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support are desirable.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
