Key Areas/Tasks To perform the role of assistant in paediatric audiological assessment and rehabilitation, by actively engaging with children to support successful outcomes. Be responsible for ensuring appropriate patient preparation for the audiologist to perform audiological procedures Meet and greet patients and families and escort them to the clinic room. Lead hearing aid repair clinics for both adults and children Be responsible alongside the audiologist for stage A daily calibration checks of audiological equipment Be responsible for reporting any equipment faults or damage as per local procedure Take responsibility for infection control within department protocols and maintain a clean, safe, tidy environment throughout the area, adhering to trust environmental audit and departmental processes.
