Join to apply for the Ex-NTP Teacher role at TieTalent. Core subject teaching (Maths, English, or Science) for SEN / SEND learners, SEMH and other additional educational needs in Nottinghamshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs supported by Targeted Provision. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, MLD, and SLD. This role is suitable for qualified SEN/SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable learners in the UK. You will be supported throughout placements by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Young people are referred by local authorities and schools and may require holistic support
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned to the learner’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (cost-assisted if needed)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work in the UK, including remote work
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed number of hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work performed for us
* Not a self-employed position
