Are you an experienced and passionate SENCO looking for a new challenge? We are recruiting a dedicated SENCO to join a thriving secondary school in Southeast London, supporting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring the highest outcomes for students with SEND.
You’ll work alongside a strong leadership team and SEN department, committed to delivering quality first teaching and targeted interventions that enable all learners to succeed.
About the Role
This is a leadership position with responsibility for:
* Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2014)
* Leading the implementation of the school’s SEND policy
* Accurately identifying and assessing SEND needs
* Developing and embedding inclusive teaching strategies
* Delivering high-quality CPD to teaching staff
* Monitoring and tracking the progress of students with SEND
* Leading the SEND provision and maintaining the SEND profile
* Liaising with stakeholders, including parents, governors, and external agencies
What We’re Looking For
* QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree preferred
* National SENCO Award (or willingness to complete training)
* Proven experience in a secondary school SENCO or inclusion role
* Strong understanding of national curriculum priorities and SEND legislation
* Experience delivering staff training and leading on inclusion
* A commitment to improving outcomes for all students
