Administrative Assistant
32.5 Hours per Week | Term Time Only- 1 Year in the first instance with a possibility of a permanent contract.
Bedwas High School is seeking to appoint a highly organised, skilled, and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the school while contributing to the success of our pupils, staff, and wider community.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support across the school, working closely with the Office Manager to ensure effective systems, processes, and day-to-day operations. We are looking for an individual who is professional, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering an excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
•Undertake a key administrative role within the school office, supporting the efficient running of administrative functions.
•Receive, process, and respond appropriately to incoming communications, including telephone calls, emails, and visitor enquiries.
•Work collaboratively as part of a busy administrative team while managing workloads effectively and maintaining a high level of organisation.
•Administer and monitor payments through the ParentPay system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
•Coordinate and arrange transport for educational visits and school activities.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date school administrative records and databases.
•Provide reception cover when required, welcoming visitors and acting as a professional first point of contact.
•Support colleagues with a range of administrative duties, including communication with parents and general office tasks.
