Job overview
We are looking for a suitable applicant to join our Team that maintains and develops a Grade 2 listed Estate at one of the country’s foremost Teaching Foundation Trusts.
Duties will involve the undertaking of minor repairs and maintenance across this site and assisting the craftsmen with major repairs. Duties will also include carrying out regular inspection of the unit and grounds whilst ensuring irregularities are promptly reported.
Main duties of the job
* To maintain the Trust’s building fabric, Engineering plant, Building Services and equipment in an efficient, economic and safe manner, in accordance with Health & Safety and other relevant regulations, guidelines, Codes of Practice and Departmental and Trust Policies.
* To undertake general housekeeping duties to ensure an acceptable level of workshop and plant room cleanliness.
* To receive delivery stocks of food, chemicals nursing materials and to check off and neatly put away.
* To undertake minor repairs and maintenance, unsupervised across the site.
* To work alongside the facilities manger and facilities team, would be expected to assist with discharge cleans if short staffed.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE grade D/3 in English and maths or equivalent qualification/experience
* An engineering background or qualification

* Previous experience in building services maintenance environment
* Ability to safely and competently carry out work or other trades
