Children's Home Registered Manager

£50,000 per year, plus yearly bonus.

Work Location: In person (On-site- Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
Melrose Residential Care are looking for a Registered Manager to join the team and manage a New 3 bed residential children's home in Chorley, Lancashire.
The Role:As a Registered Manager, your role will involve the overall responsibility and management of the children's home. You will be accountable for the delivery of high-quality service, bringing passion and care into the home environment.
You will lead and manage a team of staff ensuring that the right professional advice is given to ensure high standards and quality care is provided.
You will prioritise and monitor the work of the team, identify areas for improvement and development of individuals within the team, ensuring that these are addressed through personal development. You will develop access to appropriate continuing professional development opportunities ensuring a highly qualified and dedicated staff team.
You will be expected to respond to and ensure appropriate action is taken following internal and external inspections, audits, complaints and investigations.
You will oversee the recruitment, induction and development of staff, take responsibility for your own professional development and partake in supervisions, appraisals and training events.
As Registered Manager, you will also contribute to the admissions process for children and young people entering our care offer.
Experience:
· You must hold a minimum of 2 years' experience working within the children's residential sector within the last 5 years.
· You will hold a minimum of 1 years' experience in a Senior and/or Leadership role, within a children's home with experience of supervising staff team members. i.e. Deputy Manager or Team Leader experience.
· You must have relevant experience working within a successful Ofsted registered children's home.
· Experience of work with children, young people and their families.
· Have the ability to be flexible and adaptable, solution focused and supportive when working with children, families and managing a staff team.
· Be able to manage stress, difficult dynamics and demonstrate emotional resilience at all times.
· Able to monitor the service for quality of care and in line with the requirements of Ofsted inspections and other inspections/audits.
· Ability to develop constructive working relationships with the children, families, staff, the wider community and multiagency teams.
· Be available and flexible for on call duties.
Qualifications:
· You must hold a Level 3 or 4 NVQ/Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce.
· Ideally, you will hold a relevant Level 5 NVQ qualification or be willing to train.
· Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development- be keen to learn new skills.
