We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our team on a fixed term contract basis until August 2026.
This position within our External Contracts & Delivery team presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to achieving our mission to build a better future by investing in affordable homes, services, and communities.
You will be managing investment works and related issues across a region to ensure our homes are maintained, customer satisfaction is increased, as well as contributing to the development and delivery of Platform's Asset Management Strategy.
Some of the things we are looking for:
-Significant experience in the housing or construction industry
-Knowledge of Building Safety regulations, particularly CDM, asbestos management, site safety management and fire safety requirements (including knowledge of fire risk actions)
-A sound understanding of construction to deliver a broad range of property related activities.
-A relevant technical qualification in construction or building services (e.g., HNC/ HND in building studies or equivalent)
-Experience of customer consultation in a planned maintenance/construction setting
-Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, contracts, and procurement
-Good management skills and experience of successfully managing project teams, external contractors and liaising with other building consultants/professionals to deliver programmes of maintenance work.
Although this role is home based, it is essential to have a full UK driving license and the ability to travel around properties across Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Your business travel will be reimbursed from your home address as per the inland revenue mileage rates.
