About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Warehouse Manager / Machine Prep Technician to oversee our daily warehouse operations and ensure our equipment is prepared to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role, combining responsibility for stock control and warehouse organisation with the refurbishment and preparation of gym equipment for delivery and resale. The role is 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime.
The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the warehouse environment, ensuring processes are followed, standards are upheld, and efficiency is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily warehouse operations, including goods in/out, stock organisation, and cleanliness.
* Prepare and refurbish gym equipment for delivery or resale (including cleaning, testing, minor repairs, and paint touch-ups).
* Drive a Luton van to carry out deliveries and collections as required.
* Photograph, advertise, and manage listings for stock across various platforms.
* Ensure warehouse rules, safety standards, and company processes are followed at all times, and uphold adherence by others.
* Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and consumables within the warehouse.
* Liaise with management regarding incoming stock, refurbishment schedules, and outgoing deliveries.
* Provide occasional on-site assistance for larger installations or removals.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse processes, efficiency, and safety.
Skills & Experience (Essential & Desirable)
Essential:
* Full UK driving licence (ability to drive a Luton van confidently).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock and maintain order.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of the warehouse environment.
* Competent with basic hand tools and mechanical tasks.
* Attention to detail and pride in completing tasks to a high standard.
Desirable:
* Previous warehouse management or operations experience.
* Knowledge of gym equipment (strength & cardio machines).
* Experience in refurbishment, cleaning, or light paint spraying.
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Basic IT/computer skills (advertising, stock logging, email communication).
