About the Role .
ELM Residential Care is a small Residential Care Provider set up with a view to providing the best possible care to young people in the community. Our ethos is to provide care with a therapeutic approach providing the young people in our care with the skills and confidence they require when they leave our provision and for them to achieve their best outcomes.
ELM Residential Care now has two established homes in the Preston area, delivering our ethos of creating a supportive, family atmosphere with a therapeutic approach for our young people and we are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational Residential Support Workers to join our team to work at one of our Residential Care Homes in the Bamber Bridge and Penwortham areas of Preston.
We require individuals who want to help guide and support the young people in our care through their journey with ELM. Our homes cater for young people aged 8 – 18 years of age and we aim to provide the emotional and social support they need in a safe, secure, positive and homely atmosphere and environment.
It is desirable, but not essential, that you have worked for at least one year in Residential Support Work with Young People. It is a requirement that you undertake and complete your Level 4 as a children, young people and families practitioner (Apprenticeship) within 2 years if you have not already achieved this.
It is essential that applicants for this role can demonstrate when they have provided a caring and nurturing approach to situations. These skills are crucial in caring for the young people in our care in line with our ethos and above all they help to form positive relationships. We want young people in our homes to feel nurtured, supported and heard and your approach is key in making this happen. This element, above all, is what we believe sets us apart from other providers and we feel that it is non-negotiable that our staff team adopt this approach within our homes.
At ELM, we have an ethos of supporting staff to progress within the company and we will provide the help and support required by any member of staff who wishes to develop further either within their role or through promotion.
It is essential that you hold a full UK driving License.
