An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse to join the Diagnostic Directorate in NHSGGC.
The Lead Nurse will provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the Diagnostic Directorate supporting the achievement of organisational and Directorate objectives and quality standards.
The Lead Nurse will be a credible leader and have a consistent approach to supporting the clinical and managerial teams in the delivery and achievement of high quality compassionate and person-centred care, whilst simultaneously driving quality initiatives and financial efficiency across the Directorate.
The Lead Nurse will work collaboratively to provide clinical and professional nursing leadership and management, ensuring professional support for the delivery of clinical services by establishing and maintaining robust systems, policies, procedures, governance frameworks, health & safety standards, professional guidance, and training and education strategies.
The Lead Nurse must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, ensuring robust governance processes in place to support the delivery and assurance of excellent person-centred care.
Applicants will be a registered nurse, educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant experience in a leadership role and have the ability to work autonomously.
