The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will provide 1:1 and small group interventions, implement behaviour support strategies, and use effective de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour. You will play a key role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, build resilience, and engage positively in their learning. The role requires patience, consistency, and strong behaviour management skills. Experience supporting pupils with additional needs such as ADHD, ASD, or trauma-related behaviours is highly desirable.
