Investigator - National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team

About the role:
You’ll be working in a team which acts as the Lead Enforcement Authority for estate agency work in the UK. We work across Local Authority boundaries to offer advice and guidance to other enforcers. Our enforcement functions and investigations are only part of this role, and you will be working on national projects which help inform local and regional enforcement, promoting intelligence sharing and collaborative working by leading from the front.

• You’re a person who wants to make a difference for the UK’s home buying and selling process as well as improving enforcement methods and driving up industry standards.
• You will be happy to produce and present at conferences and regional
events throughout the UK
• You have a keen eye for detail when analysing data from a variety of
sources, including our own processes and procedures and when
investigating breaches of a variety of legislation.

You will:
• Lead civil and criminal investigations across the UK including issuing
monetary penalties and formal orders
• Help deliver training, webinars, podcasts and presentations to industry and enforcement agencies.
• Work on projects to improve intelligence and support collaboration.
• Help to develop policy and national priorities as part of the team’s remit
• Represent the team at meetings with numerous stakeholders including
government departments and agencies.
