We're recruiting for a Lecturer-English to join our Adult Skills team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The salary scale for this role is £25,494 - £44,526 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.
An additional market-rate supplement of up to £10k may be available for this role, depending on an individual's skills and experience.
The Lecturer-English (Adult Skills) Role
You'll provide inspiration, skill, and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.
Key responsibilities of our Lecturer-English (Adult Skills)
1. Plan and develop lessons, including schemes of work.
2. Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, focusing on constructive and developmental feedback.
3. Encourage, monitor, and report on students' attendance, progress, and achievements.
4. Ensure safe working environments, enforce health and safety standards, and ensure student compliance.
5. Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students.
6. Stay updated on industry developments to ensure the relevance and employability of students.
7. Participate in continuing professional development within the education sector.
Qualifications, skills, and experience we seek
* Hold a teaching qualification and experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
OR
* Possess a Level 3 qualification relevant to the course, and be willing to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification through our Passport to Teaching programme.
All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track student attendance, progress, and achievements.
