Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Scunthorpe
Pay: £90 per day

If so, then we need you! Reed is currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to work across Primary Schools in Scunthorpe and surrounding, to support children with additional needs. The schools need people who a ready to commit to making an impact on the lives of every child they work with, you make a difference in every school.
What you'll be doing:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism spectrum conditions (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
* Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation.
* Support pupils during lessons, break times, and transitions, ensuring their safety and engagement.
* Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in pupils through positive reinforcement and consistent routines.
* Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to review meetings and reports.
* Assist with personal care and mobility needs where applicable, following safeguarding and dignity protocols.
What you need:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational, care, or support setting.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management and emotional support.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and environments.
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
* An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Reed Education).
