Overview
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our Head of Conveyancing in a fast-paced and client-focused legal environment. This is a pivotal role where you will be involved in the full lifecycle of residential and/or commercial property transactions, helping to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery to our clients. You’ll be working closely with the Head of Conveyancing on day-to-day file management, client communication, document preparation, and administrative support – making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their legal career within a supportive and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Head of Conveyancing
* Prepare, draft, and review legal documents including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements
* Manage and update case files using legal case management systems
* Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties
* Coordinate key stages of the conveyancing process including pre- and post-completion
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures
* Assist in diary management, scheduling meetings, and managing incoming communications
* Support with file opening, ID checks, AML procedures, and other onboarding tasks
* Contribute to improving processes and client experience where appropriate
About You
* Previous experience in a legal assistant or conveyancing assistant role (essential)
* Strong understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Confident using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
* Discreet, professional, and client-focused with great attention to detail
