Main duties of the job
1. Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision.
2. Demonstrate an awareness of the economical use of resources and contribute to the overall control of the ward or departmental budget.
3. Assist in the teaching and development of nursing assistants and students helping them to achieve their learning outcomes.
4. Take responsibility for self-development through the appraisal system and work towards completing agreed personal development plan.
5. Providing high quality, effective, individualised nursing care to patients across all sites by assessing their needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans without supervision.
6. Maintaining accurate clinical observations of patients.
