Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations and Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”), the FP&A analyst is an integral role in the Group FP&A team, providing analysis, challenge, and commercial support to the wider business. The role will be expected to help drive the agenda and set the tone for the wider finance team’s culture.

The role is a key part of the global finance team, requiring effective influence across the organization and upwards to key contacts and stakeholders, including but not limited to members of the Group Executive Committee (“GEC”), the Finance Leadership Team (“FLT”), and regional operational and finance teams.

This role will also support the development of a global FP&A function that provides quality commercial insight and analysis at all levels, challenging and supporting business dialogue, tools, and training.

Responsibilities:

Reporting & Controls

* Analyze, challenge, and interpret month-end results to provide detailed insights into variances in sales, margin, overhead, and working capital.
* Lead the production of a monthly financial reporting pack for group management, working closely with the Head of IR and FP&A to steer messaging and content, ensuring insights and actions are focused, accurate, and concise.
* Develop value-adding reporting and review processes to ensure efficiency and timeliness of information, delivering additional insights.
* Contribute to developing a best-in-class finance function globally through data alignment, standardization, increased insight, and improved processes.
* Identify opportunities and risks, proposing actions to improve profitability.
* Identify process improvements and ensure their implementation.
* Support Risk Management & Compliance, ensuring alignment with Group policies.

Forecasting & Planning

* Support the delivery of the forecast process, ensuring rigorous and insightful outputs in collaboration with the GEC and Head of IR / FP&A.
* Ensure numbers are pressure-tested and maintain financial integrity.
* Maintain awareness of external market expectations and macroeconomic factors influencing internal decision-making and trends.
* Drive consistency in regional forecasting processes and develop insightful management information packs.

Business Partnering

* Support projects aimed at driving growth, improving profitability, and strengthening controls.
* Build relationships and understand the commercial aspects of the business to become a key finance contact.
* Support engagement of the global finance function through sharing best practices, training, mentoring, and enhancing collaboration across the Group.
* Improve business partnering tools and practices across regional finance teams, including sharing success stories and coaching.
* Work with other departments to ensure reporting consistency, adhering to the principle of “one version of the truth” for metrics.
* Drive development of consistent, insightful, and automated reporting and analysis across the Group.
* Support M&A projects, working on acquisition business cases and integration as needed.
* Perform other duties as required by the Head of IR and FP&A, commensurate with skills and experience.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience.
* Experience in a business-facing environment with strong commercial awareness.
* Ability to communicate complex data to non-financial stakeholders, providing value-added support and analysis.
* Hands-on approach with strong relationship-building skills.
* Experience working with stakeholders at senior levels, including directors.
* Comfortable in an open, dynamic, and challenging management environment.
* Influencing skills across colleagues of various levels, both internal and external to finance.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and autonomous.
* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Pragmatic use of processes and structures to achieve high-quality results within deadlines.
* Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and detailed analysis.
* Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to senior management.
* Proficiency with IBM COGNOS Controller and TM1 (desirable).
* Experience in a manufacturing company (desirable).
* Willingness to travel (desirable).
* Experience working in a multi-currency, matrix organization (desirable).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation of working in our Kidlington office 2-3 days per week.
