Experienced Social Worker - Fostering Family & Friends Assessment Team Buckinghamshire Council | Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire £38 per hour (Umbrella) Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join its Fostering Family & Friends Assessment Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated fostering service, completing high-quality Family & Friends and Connected Persons assessments that help children remain within their family networks wherever safe and appropriate. The Role As part of the Fostering Family & Friends Assessment Team, you will: Undertake comprehensive Family & Friends and Connected Persons assessments. Complete viability assessments and Special Guardianship assessments where required. Prepare clear, analytical court-standard reports. Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies. Contribute to positive permanence planning and outcomes for children. Requirements Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the Social Work England. Minimum 3 years permanent post-qualification Social Work experience in line with DfE agency worker requirements. Previous experience within fostering, connected persons, kinship, or assessment services. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential. Strong assessment, report-writing, and relationship-building skills. Why Buckinghamshire?
