Job Title: Assistant Product Manager
Salary: £29,650 - £32,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term 12 months contract
Hours per week: 35 hours (flexible options considered in line with business needs)

About the role
IOSH is looking for an Assistant Product Manager to help support the development, delivery and ongoing performance of our product portfolio. This role plays an important part in ensuring our products meet customer needs, remain competitive and are delivered effectively across our channels.
In this role, you will support the management of IOSH’s owned product portfolio, helping to plan, develop and maintain products that are ready for market and aligned with our strategic objectives. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will help keep activities coordinated and ensure products are positioned clearly and consistently.
You will research customer and channel needs and use these insights to support product planning and launch activities. You will help prepare and maintain accurate product information, ensuring IOSH products are clear, compliant and up to date.
You will also support the management of CPD products supplied by external training providers. focusing on coordinating internal checks, communication and ensuring information is complete and ready to promote. The role includes supporting lifecycle management, pricing, distribution and reviewing product materials. You will monitor product and channel performance, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to decisions that enhance the effectiveness of the portfolio.
You will help maintain efficient processes by developing workflows, analysing data and producing reports using tools such as Power BI to support KPI tracking and informed decision making. The role also requires awareness of product backlogs, understanding how priorities and dependencies affect delivery timelines and managing IOSH and supplier materials responsibly in line with IP protection requirements.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone who is organised, collaborative and interested in product management. Strong analytical skills are important in this role – you should feel confident working with data, spotting patterns and drawing meaningful insights that support product decisions. You should also be comfortable managing multiple tasks and keeping accurate records. You will enjoy understanding how our products work, how they are delivered and how they can be improved.

* An understanding of key project management principles, to support in the delivery of projects.
* Analytical, thorough and well-organised with great attention to detail.
* Ability to work constructively with stakeholders through building relationships, presenting, influencing and negotiating.
* A self-starter with the ability to work using own initiative.
* Experience of product development and product growth.
