Role: HR Data Manager
Salary: Grade K £46,142 - £49,282 a year
Location: Council House
Hours: 37 hours a week
Closing Date: 23 November 2025
Contract Type: Permanent
We’re looking for a HR Data Manager to play a leading role in the development and deployment of the Council’s HRIS system. This is a key role in the organisation; teams from across the Council rely on the HR Data team to ensure our services can operate smoothly and efficiently whilst having access to reports and datasets that help us to meet our statutory requirements.

The Opportunity
In the role of HR Data Manager, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
• Leading and developing reports in the HR Data Management team to maximise their potential
• Strategically leading the development of the HRIS to effectively meet the changing needs of the organisation
• Identifying and implementing improvements to the Council’s HRIS system and reporting capabilities
• Providing a HR Management Information service including deliver of all statutory returns and management of FOIs
• Supporting internal teams that use the HRIS including payroll, recruitment, health and safety and OD
• End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to staff and sold service customers
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have…
• Experience of end-to-end management and improvement of a HRIS system
• CIPD Foundation Degree in Payroll Management or equivalent qualification/experience
• Experience of delivering HRIS system administration process, including user management and security configuration, build and test, fault investigation and resolution
• Strong payroll legislative knowledge
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Report writing experience, such as using SAP Business Objects
• Experience of leading a systems-oriented team with a focus on development
• GCSE Maths and English
