Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operations and Maintenance
* Clean and maintain all internal and external areas of the Town Halls, including steps and pathways.
* Set up rooms and equipment for events and meetings.
* Operate and monitor the heating systems, checking oil levels.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly fire alarm tests and report faults.
* Undertake day-to-day maintenance and report hazards or repairs to management.
Event and Venue Support
* Open and close buildings as required.
* Monitor public access and attendance during functions.
* Attend events to enforce the conditions of letting and ensure order is maintained.
* Operate lighting, sound, and other technical equipment as needed.
* Supervise stewards hired by event organisers and brief them on evacuation procedures.
* Inform patrons of fire evacuation procedures prior to performances and assist in evacuations if needed.
