We're looking for an energetic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the opening team at Ibēros - a new counter-style restaurant from the team behind Dylans at the Kings Arms. Inspired by the lively tabernas of Spain and Portugal, Ibēros celebrates the Iberian Peninsula's rich food and drink culture with seasonal, ingredient-led dishes and a carefully curated wine list.
The restaurant is seeking passionate, friendly individuals who share a love of food, wine, and hospitality. Joining Iberos means becoming part of a collaborative team of hospitality professionals with ambitions to build a unique dining experience in St Albans.
This role is perfect for an experienced supervisor or floor manager looking to take the next step in the career.
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll support the General Manager and owner in the day-to-day running of the business and help build and lead a passionate front-of-house team. You'll play a key role in delivering great guest experiences and implementing and maintaining high operational standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Overseeing daily operations across the restaurant and private events.
* Supporting, training and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service.
* Driving sales and ensuring smooth delivery of a busy food operation.
* Assisting with stock management, compliance, and financial controls.
* Helping organise private events in our first floor hire space
* Deputising for the General Manager in their absence.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
* Experience as a supervisor/assistant manager in a busy hospitality setting.
* Strong knowledge of both food and drink operations.
* Proven ability to manage busy food service and coordinate between departments.
* A hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and leads by example.
* Organised, reliable, and passionate about food, drink and great hospitality.
* An interest in running bespoke and varied events.
