Key Responsibilities
* Develop dynamic system models for mechanical, electrical, thermal, and fluid systems.
* Design, implement, and optimise control algorithms (PID, state‑space, advanced strategies).
* Run simulations to assess performance under a range of operating scenarios, disturbances, and fault conditions.
* Define and support the integration of instrumentation and sensor systems for validation.
* Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams across energy systems, controls, and nuclear engineering.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project delivery standards.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* MUST have experience in control systems/control theory.
* Proven experience in MATLAB and Simulink modelling.
* Strong background in control theory and system simulation.
* Experience in systems engineering or other high‑integrity domains.
* Ability to translate simulation results into practical engineering recommendations.
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Required Qualifications:
* A BSc or MSc or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
* Must be eligible for UK SC Security Clearance (Minimum 5 Years in the UK).
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with model validation and instrumentation.
* Familiarity with safety‑critical environments.
