Shift Manager Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre, LS1 Salary: Competitive Hours: 42h per week, 4on 4off Job Overview -To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. -Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract. -To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development. Main Duties -Assist the Security Manager in ensuring the seamless delivery of security operations across the site. -Deploy and manage the security team effectively, ensuring high standards of performance. -Maintain appropriate staffing levels and oversee training and development to ensure team competence. -Provide regular briefings, guidance, and performance reviews to security team members to maintain high service standards. -Organise fair and efficient duty rostering, annual leave allocation, and overtime in line with prescribed procedures. -Collaborate closely with shift supervisors to ensure the smooth execution of daily operations and alignment with security objectives. -Support the Security Manager in recruiting new security team members, managing job descriptions, interviews, and onboarding processes. -Handle day-to-day HR issues, including managing disciplinary and grievance processes, in compliance with company policies. -Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering professional development and career progression. -Monitor attendance and timekeeping, addressing any issues with prompt corrective actions. -Promote a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring compliance with equal opportunities policies. -Act as a key leader in responding to incidents, safeguarding assets and personnel. -Oversee the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan, ensuring all team members are fully prepared. -Maintain accurate records of incidents, compiling daily situation reports and providing detailed handovers to senior management. -Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and organisational policies. What we are looking for -Proven experience as a Shift Manager/Senior Supervisor or equivalent leadership role within the security industry. -SIA License -Good literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English. -Be computer and software literate. -Reliability, self- motivation and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision. -The ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise. -The ability to transfer self-motivation to staff. -The ability, tact and diplomacy to deal with people at all levels. -Self-confidence and an interest in self-development. -An interest in the continuous improvement of the Company's performance. -The nature of the role is such that it is essential that the post holder has and will maintain an excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
