Our Operations team has a fantastic opportunity for Excavation Gangers to join them in Kendal. Our role As an Excavation Ganger you will carry out excavation and backfill work associated with the delivery of Domestic Connections and Fault Response work. Day to day you will: Be responsible for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment relevant to this role; Perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices; Perform pre-site checks to ensure that a design is achievable, deliverable to the customer s standards and within ENW Standards & Procedures; Be able to operate hand held IT equipment to receive job instructions and record site information; Ensure quality of works meets with current procedures; Ensure works are carried out to meet guaranteed service standards; Ensure the security of vehicle, tools, plant and equipment; Be the lead person in an excavation team, of up to 3 people; Be prepared to undertake other reasonable tasks following the requirements of the Company; Be an ambassador for Electricity North West. What we re looking for Experience of leading Excavation Teams; Experience working on the electricity network; NRSWA Units 001-009; Experience of pre-siting schemes of work & performing Risk Assessments; Full UK Driving Licence, minimum C1 and towing licence; CSCS Operatives card; Emergency First Aid; Machine Operator ticket; Abrasive Wheel; Trench Support (deep excavation) (desirable); Moling qualification (desirable).
