Job Title: Residential Installations Engineer Reporting to: Installations Manager Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum dependant on experience Location: Field Based Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Mondays to Saturday 08:00 to 20:00, and such additional hours as are necessary for the proper performance of your duties. This will consist of using both underground and overhead methods and working on the BT PIA network. You may also be responsible for locating and rectifying customer faults. Role & Responsibilities: Installations for both residential and small business customers To fit Industry standard FTTP installations Ability to find and correct faults on an XGSPON network To perform fibre splicing when required To rod & rope and walk off UG/OH/SDU/MDUs if required Fault finding and rectification of residential and small business faults Ensure a very high standard of customer experience is met To be a safety first engineer who wants to deliver exceptional customer experience at all times About you: Good customer facing skills Able to produce high standards of work Ability to comprehend Job Packs Ability to understand and meet requirements of Risk assessments Knowledge of XGSPON technologies and architectures Understanding of telecoms civils & cabling networks Fusion splicing Ability to meet critical deadlines Working at height from ladders and MEWPs Fibre Splicing & Testing, Splicing external and internal fibre joints Rodding and roping Working in confined spaces including cabling in underground environments High standard and commitment to updating systems used as part of role including electronic data capture and transfer of all work completed. Working to timescales Ability to identify on site risks to personnel and equipment Essential Qualifications: Full UK driver's License preferably clean SA001 Safety Overhead including joint user pole Benefits SA002 Safety Underground S8 PIA Cable instillation Over head IPAF Desired Skills & Experience: NRSWA S7 PIA Cable instillation underground Accredited qualifications in fibre installation Ability to read and understand GIS designs
