About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Administrator to join our Highways Admin team on the M3 project in Winchester. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
This role provides administrative support to project teams on all aspects of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, including developing HSW documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and fostering a culture of continual improvement. The HSW Administrator will collaborate with HS, W Leads, Advisors, and other Administrators to ensure requirements are met. Responsibilities also include supporting site mitigation, sustainability of works, and engagement with site teams, supply chain, and clients.
What you'll be doing
General Duties:
* Collaborate with Project and Business Unit HS&W Teams to provide optimal administrative services and support.
* Perform administrative duties to meet project requirements.
* Prepare monthly HS&W reports and obtain project lead approvals prior to submission.
* Provide cover for team members as needed.
Inductions/Role Compliance:
* Manage induction bookings, ensuring role compliance.
* Coordinate competency management and maintenance.
* Liaise with project teams and supply chain as required.
Incidents/Incursions:
* Update and report incidents to company and client systems; communicate changes with the HSW lead.
Observations:
* Categorize observations per company requirements and identify trends.
* Facilitate issuing Observation Awards as needed.
Who we're looking for
* Good knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability issues.
* Understanding of the Construction operating environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Forms, Power BI, Power Apps).
* Full UK driver’s license and willingness to travel.
* Good interpersonal skills.
