HGV Class 2 Driver – Sherburn in Elmet (Leeds)
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and family-run food distribution business based in Sherburn in Elmet. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Driver to join the team on a permanent basis.
Location: Sherburn in Elmet, LS25
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay Details:
* £34,700 per annum
* Overtime paid at time and a half (daily)
Shift Pattern & Start Times:
* Monday to Friday
* 05:30 start
* 45-hour working week
* No weekend work
The Role:
* Multi-drop deliveries to bakeries, butchers and farm shops across the North of England
* Operating Class 2 vehicles within a food distribution environment
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with legal requirements
* Cross-checking deliveries, including temperature checks where required
* Managing returns and completing relevant paperwork
* Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
* Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times
Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, held for at least 2 years
* Valid CPC and Digi Card
* Previous multi-drop experience preferred
* Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
* Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
* Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
* Food distribution or refrigeration experience advantageous but not essential
