You will be working as Production Engineer and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Production Engineering Manager and will be responsible for optimizing the production organization’s assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety. Your responsibilities Influencing the project by designing assembly processes and flows simultaneously with new product development Optimizing the industrial performance by promoting digitization, late differentiation of products and maximum re-use and standardization Driving our processes to a high standard of energy efficiency and low CO2 extended footprint and incorporate environmental Best Available Techniques (BAT) Developing assembly process line architecture with LADM (Line architecture Design Methodology) in alignment with Lean manufacturing approach Introducing innovative industrial technologies according to product technology roadmap Estimating the manufacturing time for the new products with MTM methodology Your background Bachelor’s degree on Mechanical / Industrial / Production engineering Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience Good knowledge and proven experience in development of SPM (Special purpose machine) for manual, semi-auto and fully automatic assembly lines Good knowledge in test equipment (mechanical, electrical, electronics, magnetic, thermal, HV, continuity and conductivity) Should have good behavioral skill and should have collaboration skill to work with cross functional team to give know-how More about us ABB Smart Power is a global technology leader, with products and solutions that make power supplies smart, connected and protected.
