We are recruiting for a general cover supervisor to oversee secondary classes in Newport. The role will commence on 1st September 2025. You will be responsible for creating a safe learning environment where KS3, KS4, and KS5 pupils complete pre-set work provided by subject teachers.

Responsibilities for Cover Supervisor:
* Create a supportive learning environment where pupils stay on task and complete assigned work
* Collect completed work after the lesson and return it to the appropriate teacher
* Provide feedback to the class teacher regarding behaviour, achievements, and concerns
* Uphold school policies related to child protection, health, and confidentiality
* Engage with pupils to build trust and tailor support to individual needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Valid DBS (can be arranged through us)
* Registered with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) (can be arranged through us)
* Currently undertaking or possess a university degree
* Previous experience working with young people (e.g., coaching, teaching assistant, youth work)
* Confidence
Desirable Skills:
* Full driving license and access to a car
* Reside in or near Cardiff
