Behaviour Support Assistant Role at Prospero Teaching
Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to provide person-centred support to individuals with high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours related to learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, and mental health issues. You will work in a school environment, supporting children and young people who require 1:1 assistance for various reasons.
Contract / Position Details:
* Location – Crewe
* Position – Behaviour Support Assistant
* Full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm daily
Requirements:
* Experience working with children and young people exhibiting challenging behaviour
* De-escalation training experience is advantageous
* Candidates from youth work backgrounds or similar roles are encouraged to apply
* Confidence in decision-making
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students
* Empathy and understanding
* Willingness to develop skills through professional training and development

Eligibility Criteria:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain a new one
* Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
